Carpet Bowls

Indoor carpet bowls sub-club get together every Monday and Friday morning from 9.15 am to midday. We are also known as “All Abilities” group because of the diversity of our players many with disabilities.

We work with the Wyndham Council who recommend our group to some locals who need some company or an activity during the week. Our members may be wanting some interaction with other people or enjoy an activity once or even twice a week.

We have a diverse range of health issues and disabilities covered here like MS and vision impaired, so feel welcome to come whether you are playing carpet bowls or enjoying the company of other members who enjoy a chit chat and the camaraderie experienced at carpet bowls. We also supply tea, coffee and biscuits. We have nearly 80 members now, and we find more than half of these turn up to our bowls each day, which is a fantastic turn out.

We have our own footy tipping competition, with a winner each week. We also have lunch or special morning tea days, and our annual Christmas Party. Age is no barrier for our group, our age group ranges from 35 to 105. If you would like to join our Carpet Bowls sub club we’d love to have you, or call in and see how much our members enjoy their mornings at carpet bowls, you are welcome to stay and enjoy a cup of tea, coffee and biscuit with a chat.
